In the spirit of celebrating the Mid-Autumn festival, many activities were organized
for the elderly and underprivileged children by VSIPs in Vietnam.
In VSIP Binh Duong, the VSIP Charity Committee, VSIP Youth Unions and the Park’s
Trade Union visited Doan Ket Orphanage in Thuan An town and Mai Phuoc Center for
children in Ben Cat district to give out moon cakes to the children.
On September 4, 2014, the VSIP Charity Committee and the Park’s Trade Union or-
ganized a scholarship presenting cum financial aid ceremony to present scholarships
to needy children and workers of tenants in VSIP. 78 primary to university students
received a total of 56 million VND which were dispersed from the VSIP Charity Fund.
In Bac Ninh, staffs of VSIP Bac Ninh visited local schools and one of the activities is to
accompany with children “Back to school”. 50 scholarships were granted to pupils at
two primary schools and 50 full-box computers were donated to Dai Dong Secondary
School on the first day of new school year.
In Quang Ngai province, 10 newly - built houses were handed over to needy villagers
at Nghia Hanh District. These houses valued at VND300 million were funded by VSIP
Quang Ngai as part of the community program to help the local residents to have a
better living standard and conditions.
