Since 2015, Dustin has helped oversee Dezan Shira & Associates’ and Asia Briefing’s growth in ASEAN and Vietnam, specializing in client advisory on investments in the region, business intelligence, and free trade agreement advisory from our Ho Chi Minh City office. He has also worked in our Beijing, Shanghai, and Hanoi offices.

Dustin is a native of New York City, where he studied Political Science and International Relations at Columbia University. In his capacity at Dezan Shira & Associates Dustin has helped implement pre-investment planning trips for multi-national corporations and coordinates with Asia Briefing’s Business Intelligence in managing legal and regulatory monitoring solutions for the ASEAN region. He also is a frequent contributor and Senior Editor to our ASEAN Briefing and Vietnam Briefing publications. He has mastery over his native English and Mandarin Chinese.

Prior joining VSIP, he worked as Tour guide and Tour Operator for both inbound and out bound guests. These experience makes him unique to give excellent advices for investors looking for best business location in Vietnam.

Jason Lim is head of the Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) Advisory unit at United Overseas Bank (Malaysia) Bhd and has been with the bank since 2013. The FDI Advisory Unit was newly set up in Malaysia in 2013 to facilitate the bank’s customers’ evolving needs when expanding into ASEAN. The FDI Advisory Unit’s extensive network of ecosystem partners such as government agencies, business associations and professional service providers in the region, enable us to provide joint advisory services to customers to effectively navigate through the potentially daunting complexities of regional expansion. 

Prior to joining UOB, Jason has over 10 years of regional business development experience working for several corporations and government agencies promoting cross border investments in the area of manufacturing, technology, aviation and trade.  Jason holds a Business Administration degree, majoring in International Business from Multimedia University of Malaysia.

Senior Manager, Chinese Service Group



Brian Wong Chen Wei is a manager with Deloitte in Vietnam and has more than 12 years of experience and is involved in a wide range of external audit assignments, which include the annual audits of local and multinational clients.


He is also a member of the Deloitte Chinese Service Group, with Mandarin speaking skills, providing services to Chinese clients who investing in overseas (i.e. Vietnam and Cambodia). His key areas of experience include statutory audit, due diligence exercises and investigation audit and initial public offer (IPO) which require awareness of International Financial Reporting Standards and group systems. As the leader of the Chinese Services Group, he will also take part as a communication bridge for our Chinese clients in Vietnam.

Kelvin has over 8 years of tax experience in providing tax advisory services for local and multi-national corporations in the manufacturing, services, real estate, oil and gas, financial institution, hotel, retail and information technology industry.

e has been involved in various group restructuring, tax due diligence, group tax review, incentive / tax relief application and initial public offering exercises. He is a member of Association of Chartered Accountants (ACCA) and Chartered Accountant of Malaysian Institute of Accountants.
