The Kinh Do Confectionery Corporation, will invest 660 billion VND (41 million USD) in building two new factories in the Viet Nam-Singapore Industrial Park, southern Binh Duong province.

Covering a total area of 13 ha, the factories, expected to be the largest and most modern in Southeast Asia, is scheduled for operation in the first quarter of 2008.

They will raise the total factories under the Kinh Do confectionery system to seven.

Once operational, the two factories will turn out new and high-quality products, meeting the domestic demand and for exports.

This will be the corporation's important progress when Viet Nam joins the World Trade Organisation (WTO).
