On February 15, 2023, VSIP Quang Ngai coordinated with the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones to launch the ceremony of "Tet tree planting movement for eternity grateful to Uncle Ho" on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023 at VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park. As planned, 10,000 new trees will be planted in VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park. This is one of the practical activities to join hands to support the Prime Minister's project "Growing a billion trees in the 2021-2025 period".

Attending the event, there were Mr. Ha Hoang Viet Phuong, Chairman of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Management Board; leaders of relevant departments and localities, and representatives of enterprises operating in VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park.

Speaking at the ceremony, Ms. Huynh Thi Thuy Trinh - Deputy General Director of VSIP Quang Ngai shared: "Tree planting festival is a beautiful traditional culture of Vietnamese people, and a priceless lesson left to us by Uncle Ho. We always remember, learn and strive to implement. We aware the meaning and value of "planting trees and afforestation" since this is also the vision of VSIP Group to be “green, smart and sustainable". From the early days, VSIP Quang Ngai has always focused on developing and taking care of green areas in its infrastructure development. Up to now, 440ha/660ha of VSIP Quang Ngai has been developed synchronously with infrastructure, of which 54ha/440ha were greened (by grass, flowers and trees) reaching 122% of the regulations, with a total number of planted trees is 4,490. In the coming time, VSIP Quang Ngai is committed to continue to increase the coverage of green areas in the entire project of VSIP Quang Ngai and accompany the authorities of Quang Ngai province to improve the ecological environment, beautify the natural landscape, and contribute to the sustainable development of the province as well as for the future of a green-clean-beautiful Vietnam.”

Previously, VSIP Quang Ngai contributed an amount of 100,000,000 VND (one hundred million VND) in order to join hands with the province in implementation of the Greenery Fundraising Program in according to the Prime Minister’s scheme to plant 1 billion trees in Quang Ngai Province on the occasion of the Lunar New Year 2023. The program was chaired by the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development of Quang Ngai province at Ba Gia Victory Monument, Tinh Son commune, Son Tinh district on January 28, 2023
