Binh Duong - 4th March 2025, VSIP and Saigon Asset Management (SAM) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to develop Vietnam's first-of-its-kind Data Center Campus. This project aims to meet the growing demand for large-scale data centers in Vietnam and support the development of the region's digital economy.
Sharing by Mr. Nguyen Phu Thinh, CEO of VSIP JV: “VSIP is excited to collaborate with Saigon Asset Management (SAM), a leading investment firm, to jointly develop Vietnam's first -of-its-kind Data Center Campus. This partnership leverages our expertise in industrial and urban development, combined with SAM's deep investment knowledge, to create a cutting-edge and sustainable digital hub.”
SAM DigitalHub is an ambitious project with 50 hectares (124 acres) and have a capacity of 150 MW, with a projected investment of up to 1.5 billion USD. This large-scale data center is designed to serve both domestic and international clients, contributing significantly to the enhancement of Vietnam's digital infrastructure.
Mr. Louis Nguyen, CEO of SAM, shared: “Three key issues have prevented our hyperscaler clients from entering the Vietnamese market: licenses, land, and power. By partnering with VSIP, we are able to mitigate these barriers.”
The collaboration between SAM and VSIP will open up new opportunities for developing modern data centers, laying a solid foundation for the growth of Vietnam's digital economy in the future.
