Quang Ngai, November 15, 2019 - Whitex Textiles Industries Vietnam held the groundbreaking ceremony of the Project “Manufacturing and Processing of Fabrics and Garments Whitex Dung Quat”.

This is the second factory in Vietnam of Whitex Group which was established in 1984 and has grown to become one of the leading manufacturers in the fabric and garment industry in Malaysia. Currently, Whitex Group has manufacturing plants in Malaysia, Bangladesh, Cambodia and Vietnam.

This project has a total investment capital of 40 million USD, built on an area of 80,000 m2 located at VSIP Quang Ngai, producing fabrics and garments with the capacity of 3.6 million tons/ year and 11.40 million tons/ year respectively. The factory is expected to operate in 2020 and offer more than 6,000 jobs for local people, contributing to improving people's lives as well as promoting economic development of Quang Ngai province.
