The year 2020 has been witnessed with unprecedented events in Vietnam and globally that dramatically changed the way of doing business and obviously affected global investment, including Korean investment to Vietnam.

Such new circumstances, especially the New Southern Policy of the South Korean Government ongoing since the end of 2017, the enforcement of the EVFTA in August 2020, and success on a national scale in fighting and control of the Covid-19 pandemic so far, have made Vietnam remained a favorable destination for Korean community to expand its business and at the same time boosted more confidence for the Korean businessmen to set up its first business base. From January to August this year, Korean FDI capital to Vietnam is 3 billion USD, rank 2nd in top investing countries to Vietnam in 2020, and Korea steadily holding the position of number 1 investor in Vietnam so far with total investment capital of more than 70 billion USD.
