In the morning, 23 December 2023, Politburo member, President Vo Van Thuong attends the 10th Anniversary celebration of VSIP Quang Ngai in Quang Ngai province.
Also attending were Politburo member, Secretary of Party Central Committee, Chief Justice of the Supreme People's Court Nguyen Hoa Binh; Senior Lieutenant General Mr. Tran Quang Phuong, Member of Communist Party of Central Committee, Vice Chairman of the National Assembly; Mr. Tran Hong Ha, Member of Communist Party of Central Committee, Deputy Prime Minister of Socialist Republic of Vietnam; the leaders of the Central Party Committees. From Singapore Government Representative, Mr. Jaya Ratnam, Singapore Ambassadors to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and members of the Ambassador Delegation.
For Quang Ngai province, Ms. Bui Thi Quynh Van – Member of Communist Party of Central Committee, Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of Provincial People’s Council; Ms. Dinh Thi Hong Minh, Deputy Secretary of Quang Ngai Provincial Party Committee; Mr. Tran Hoang Tuan, Member of Standing Committee of Provincial Party Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Quang Ngai People's Committee; former leaders of Quang Ngai province, members of the Standing Committee of the Provincial Party Committee, the Standing Committee of the People's Council, and the People's Committee, leaders of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation, leaders of provincial departments, local authorities, armed forces in the province, representatives from districts, cities, and towns within the project area.
Speaking at the ceremony, Standing Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Tran Hoang Tuan commented that, after 10 years of investing and developing infrastructure according to the standards of a professional, green, and environmentally friendly industrial park, VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park has to become a trusted address for investors, and at the same time becoming an important highlight, an effective link between Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai City of Quang Ngai province.
VSIP Quang Ngai is the 5th project of VSIP Group, officially groundbreaking in 2013. This is the first of VSIP’s projects to be located in Central Vietnam. To date, VSIP Quang Ngai Industrial Park has developed about 500 ha, and attracted 40 investors with a total registered investment capital of more than 1 billion USD from countries and territories such as the US, Belgium, Philippines, Japan, Korea, China, Hongkong, … Currently, 26 projects have been put into operation and created above 29.000 labors for local workers.
Based on the success of the VSIP Quang Ngai, the VSIP II Quang Ngai has been approved for investment by the Prime Minister.
At the ceremony, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha awarded Decision No. 1664 dated December 22.12.2023, of the Prime Minister on the In-principal approval for the first phase of Investment in construction and infrastructure business of VSIP II Quang Ngai, under the management of Dung Quat Economic Zone. VSIP II Quang Ngai locates in Binh Hiep and Binh Thanh communes (Binh Son).
In the ceremony, the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province awarded Investment Registration Certificates to four new investment projects and two expansion projects in VSIP Quang Ngai.
On this occasion, VSIP Quang Ngai also awarded 50 scholarships with valued 100 million VND to needy students from Son Tinh and Binh Son districts
