
VSIP Trade Union has taken urgent action to care for workers and employees affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The union has spent a total amount of VND8.5 billion ($369,570) to take care of 3,632 affected members and workers. In addition, VSIP Trade Union has mobilised support from other partners and the Provincial Labor Confederation to donate more than 6,500 packages of necessities to members and workers in boarding houses.


Previously, when the COVID-19 situation was raging across the locality, the trade union issued a policy to support members and employees staying at the factories under the “stay at work” model with meals during the social distancing period. VSIP Trade Union has supported 228 of the 238 businesses to maintain “stay at work” production with a total amount of nearly VND41 billion ($1.8 million).
